My friend and I tried putting my clear corners on my 92 explorer today and failed. We couldn't get the housing or casing out. We had it from the top and sides but it wouldn't move from the bottom. We unscrewed the screws at the top of the headlights to get that much done. What is the real way to do this? Thanks.

Straight from the Haynes manual

Section 18
"1. disconnect the negative battery cable" (not necessary unless messing with wires)
"2. remove the plastic panel across the top of the radiator. on early models it is attached with screws and plastic rivets, while on 1997 and later models, each side of the panel is hinged. release a catch and flip the hinged cover up for access to the rear of the headlight assembly...
3. remove the screws and the turn/park light assembly (see section 20)."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Section 20
"1. open the hood
2. remove the 2 screws that secure the top of the lamp assembly.
3. pull the assembly straight out to expose the bulb sockets."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"4. on 1996 and earlier models, remove the grille...
5. using needle nose pliers, squeeze the plastic clips on the headlight housing to release it from the body.
6. installaton is the reverse of removal."

hope this helps. Good Luck!
