Does anyone know of a write-up or can give me directions on how to replace battery cables on my 2002 Ford Explorer. Shop wanted to do it for $10 parts + 50$ labor. I said I think I can do it myself. They talked about a universal battery end? I believe it is the cable that attaches into the connector at the battery end that is getting rusted. Thansk for any help.

If you need just the end that connects to the battery - I just did mine a few days ago. Mine were so rusted that I could not tighten or loosen it. I ended up buying one of these from Checker:

Be careful when cutting the old one off so the battery cable is not too short.

These just clamp on to the existing wire and you can really torque them down on the wire to get a good connection.
