Factory anti theft and keyless entry?

So from my other alarm trouble posts
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=277478
I've kind of figured out how to use this factory add on alarm or VSS, vehicle security system.

But if I wanted to put my Explorer to the way it was before whoever installed it, how the heck would I do it?
I unplugged the entire entire security module and well my rig wouldn't start. So I figure I need a different module or a different DNA module to plug into it to restore it to before it had the VSS?
But I can't find any information about going backwards.

your starter wire is cut. you need to find where the cut is and reconnect the wire. off the vss module that you are taking out it should be a violet and violet/red wire you are tracing. one is key side and one is starter side. reconnect the wires and the car will start. i suggest to solder the wire back together not butt connectors.

you should disconnect all the wires and take it out of the truck totally.like i said in other post you should get thr remote starter. only a few wires to connect and plug in the ignition switch. done.

You mean add the RMST to this add on VSS or pull the VSS out then get & install the factory RMST?
And what about the fuse placement and jumper setting in the module, if removing the VSS?

just take out the vss totally. there are no fuses that you need to replace when taking out vss module.

the rs module will have its own fuses when the time comes.

there are two kits out one has a 6 button remote with start, keyless and alarm (alarm can be disabled). this is a very very evasive and time consuming system to install,. not plug and play. better off looking aftermarket than using this system.

the other is a one button add on used in conjunction with your factory keyless remote. you need to carry 2 remotes with this system. this is a very simple system to install. mostly plug and play.

What about this, since I have the diagrams I'm thinking I can unplug the VSS module and install a jumper in the connector for the ignition wire.

Should work because I'm thinking in that VSS module is just a relay or switch in it to cut the ignition.

just cut the purple and the purple/red from module and reconnect them. disconnect all the other wiring. it will save a headache down the road.

I assume we're talking about the same 2 wires, but the diagram I have call em' violet and violet/red.

But I see splice those 2 wires would be a little more reliable than installing a jumper.

yes those are the colors.

Sorry, you were right they were purple. :chug: And strangely enough they weren't in the pin locations called out in the diagrams nor the pin-out chart on the VSS module.
I know the connector end of the harness is pre-fabbed, so I'm thinking either they got the kit parts mixed up or the connector was mis-pinned from the factory and this is probably the root of all my problems.

But for now it's bypassed.:D
