Step 1: Install component tweeters on B-pillar next to seatbelt slider.

Step 2: Repeat for other side.

Crap. :( Ever do a perfect install, snake all the wires, solder every connection, then test your SQL where your head ISN'T when you're driving? Ever have it take 4 hours only to sound completely off?

If you did, I feel your pain. I should have known in the first place that they'd be too far away from the mid to mix properly, but I never dreamed that my top-end MBQuart prolines could provide two completely different soundscapes in one car. On the upside, passengers in the back seats have one of the nicest sounding setups I've ever heard. Shame I don't sit back there. My dog will be happy.

If anyone needs me, I'll be off fiberglassing some kind of canting bracket to try and get 'em to aim and image off of the windshield.

Sorry to hear that man. I have had mine mounted up there for quite a while now and i love the sound I get from there. I guess it all depends on how your system is setup and everything and the specs of it all.

Gotta go with the kickpannels for staging the tweets...they sound soo much better there than anywhere else in the truck...

thats a bummer cq...i hope its not to hard to fix the hole or to move them :( i hate when i bodge something like that

but least u know now u wont ever make that mistake again =) u live u learn

I had mine in the doors by the mirror switch on the driver side and opposite on the passenger side. The mids were in the stock location. Sounded good.

Why is it in stock systems with tweeters they put them up by the side mirror? They sound fine to me when up there, or is it always better with kick panels?

If you're not careful with kickpanels, you'll end up giving your knees a really good concert.

I put my Focal Tweets in the air vents mounted in the top of the dash. They face straight up and hit the windshield and kick to me. I think they sound great and look stealthy.

not pointing fingers, but not everyone knows what sounds right and what doesn't.

what your doing now will be excellent- but i do think kickpanels would be better.

Everyone knows what sounds right to them; and that is what really matters.

oh i thought this was a joke..i was going to say mount an 8 inch sub in the kicks and a 5.25 and a tweet in the door panel...lol

true- until they listen to a car that is closer to sonic truth (lol at sony) and then realize they've been wrong all along. its certainly happened to me a few times.

yea

yea, I've been haunted by my HORRIBLE sounding system ever since I got a good demonstration in the famous richard Clarks Buick Grand National...

I'm forced to compare everything to that... i've never heard anything close to it... and i'm half deaf too!
