EDIT: CLICK ON PICS TO MAKE SMALLER! If anyone wants to redo pics for me, it would be much appreciated, Im horrible at putting pics up!
I have been looking on here for a while, and I could not find a thread telling how to take off the running boards of a Mounty, Im not sure if this pertains to an Ex or not, but I figured Ill put one out there in case anyone else needs it too :D

1.Unscrew the 2 screws in the inner wheel well(front and back). You will need to get in tight places, I had a small handled screwdriver sitting around, but a drill wont fit...You may have to turn your wheels slightly to the left or right(opposite which side you are on) to reach the front screw.

2. Unbolt the 1-4 bolts on each bracket underneath the truck, for this, I had to use a ratchet, but mine were very tight, if yours are more loose, then it might not be necessary.

Keep something under them, or have someone hold them up, so they dont bend when they fall, you will want them in good condition should you want to sell.

Well, I hope that helps some noobs like me get started on thier cars, good luck!

lol yeah I know, Im not good at resizing, I can do PS, but I cant resize lol, Im a little behind in computer class credits lol... but anyway, if someone could resize them it would be awesome, lol, I did type that in there after I realized it :D and thank you for the comment :D

EDIT: Once again, if you click on them it takes you to imageshack, which makes them smaller :D

what happens when they are off though? are there any visible holes or any terrible looking cosmetic things that would be wrong with taking these off? i have a 99 sport and my running boards are rusting horribly and i was thinking of taking them off but i dont want to be left with a bunch of holes at the bottom there.

Wayne- Yeah, it doesnt look to good, but Im gunna try to find a piece off of another that didnt have them to use, Ill keep you updated, and do a proper writeup when Im done for you :D

MonMix- Ok, ty, Ill give that a try :D

Please remove those high resolution pics from your thread. They make it more difficult to view the thread. Just keep them to 800x600 or smaller.

Sorry blee, will do, when I figure out how :(

EDIT: K, done, sorry 'bout that, Im horrible with those things, thanks again for the help Mon :D
