how to tirn off check engine light?

as mentioned I changed the thermosat cost me 60 bucks it works fine i dissconected the battery and was fine then i started it this morning and the check engine light came on any idea's?

?it could just be a bad sensor?

its not that warm here tomorrows going to be though, but lately the dog has been sneeking into bed

You need to read the code(s), then repair the source of the error. The check engine light is there to help you not annoy you

You can check the codes with a paper clip, you need the vehicles repair manual or search this forum for the answer....

to clean the MAS, get a can of spray (liquid) electric parts cleaner (not canned air) and spray the filaments inside the intake to clean it. A q-tip, with too much pressure, could cause more harm than good...
