HU Placement

It has to be just me, I am missing something here. Your question is where to put the HU. But you are holding the Xedia Expander up and showing a new monitor. You don't want to put the monitor where you can see while you are driving do you? Cause I was trying to figure out what all you have in the dash that is keeping you from installing there and putting the monitor overhead. Sorry but I am confused and I know I am the only one, LOL.

Yes, I do want to put the monitor where I can see it while driving (F the passengers :D )

I am putting the monitor where the Head Unit is located STOCK(1st post), so I was trying to figure out where to relocate the HU. (my 1st idea being the pictures).

Expo then suggested I put the HU where the climate controls are. (which I am doing). I am then mounting the climate controls *behind* the monitor which will have hinges and tilt out. The pictures are of the monitor that will be going where the stock head unit *used* to be.

Think of Expo5.0's monitor... put a HU under it where the climate controls are, then put the climate controls behind the monitor. That is going to be my setup =).

Boomin: Monitors are used to display colors... most oftenly representing text, graphics or the occassional movie. (You're looking at one right now :p ).

-The monitor is being attached to a computer which will be mounted in the rear cargo area.

Confused? Good =)

Went to Agee's Junkyard today... got exactly what I needed. Huge place, although I wish I had just been left to walk around instead of the guy coming with me... but he drove us around, so I guess I can't complain.

Got air vents out of a late model Camero. Once I cut up the housing around them, they will be much smaller. Exactly what I needed. They can move up/down as well as left/right. I also picked up an upper console which I might start modding. Got the glove compartment so I can test fit everything in something before cutting up my current one. The radio bezel will be a lot better to use then my current one because it's almost all flat.

Quarter ontop for reference.

maybe put the Hvac controls on top of the DVD player and put the radio in the Hvac control slot?
