HU size

Hey, I just got an '02 XLT the other day and I'm already looking to upgrade the headunit. Just a quick question, I've never actually seen a double din size opening or radio that I know of...Is the explorer a 2 din? Wondering because I'm looking to buy one of those Kenwood eXcelon DDX-7015 in dash LCD and want to make sure it fits. I know the opening looks much bigger than the din and 1/2 opening on my camaro at least.

Also, anyone have this HU? Opinions?

that is funny that you ask that?
I just came back from buying a 2002 explorer XLT which i am getting rid of my 1995 and i had a pioneer deck and seperate DVD player installed in that double din slot. fit very nice and tight.
hoping to do the same thing to my new 2002 which with 88000 miles it rides like a dream compared to the 1995.

Wow, 88,000 miles on a 2002? Someone drivers more than I do. I've had it a week today and I've put 1,000 miles on mine already, clock just rolled past 30,000...well, actually it's digital so it doesn't roll, but you get my drift.
