Took my old Firestones into the dealership today, and a couple of the service guys were checking out my truck. Surprisingly, they had never seen an X with Cobra-Rs and the lowering package that I have. We talked cars for a while, and they took me back behind the service area where they keep their cars overnight...
They had a 2000 Mustang Cobra R in there, and I must say, it's pretty visually impressive.
The rear spoiler is huge. Catches your attention immediately. They you walk around to the front, and the front air dam is even bigger, it seems. Figure that thing won't be pristine very long, as it's pretty low to the ground. The interior seemed pretty sparse, with light carpeting, no rear seats, and a pair of Recaro racing seats. Wheels were 18", practically shod with racing rubber. Brembo brakes in the front. The guy who owned it had to go all the way to Colorado to get it.
Anyway, I know this isn't Explorer related, but I thought I'd just claim fame for having seen one of these awesome machines.
