I got a firestone recall notice

It was from firestone & said they know I had a used X & I was not the orginal owner & it was covered in the orginal recall, & if the tires were still on it included the spare(seems this is the issue, they were taking about the spare heavly) to take it in & I would get replacements free of charge.

So I guess they are still covered for those wondering.

I bet this recall, and the women who was buying used spares from our members are connected. A few folks from this site sent her their old Firestone spares. They were probably ready to pop

I got the notice today. Got my free spare tire several years ago, at the time of the original recall. Unfortunately they put the recall out right after I had replaced the tires. The tires sucked, but they didn't show any signs of the problem.

I didn't get a notice, but saw a link here. Went down to the nearest Firestone with a copy of the article and they replaced all of my tires for free. would have cost me $700 if it came out of my pocket

Yeah, with Firestone Destination ATs I've had no problem with them

I got a Goodyear Wrangler to replace my spare.

Oh, yeah, Ford wasn't replacing any of the Firestone with Firestones. If I had waited for a little more metal to pop out of my Firestones, I coulda gotten a whole new set up tires for free, but I had replaced mine just before the recall, so I at least got the spare out of them.
