OK SO I WAS BEING A GOOD DAD AND WAS TAKING MY SON TO TOYS R US CAUSE HE HELPED ME ALL DAY AROUND THE HOUSE. ON THE WAY THERE THIS STUPID FRIGGIN WOMAN PULLS A U-TURN FROM THE CURB ACROSS 2 LANES OF TRAFFIC RIGHT INTO ME!! COULDN'T AVOID HER HITTING ME AND SHE SCRAPED DOWN THE SIDE OF MY X FROM THE REAR 1/4 PANEL ALL THE WAY UP TO THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL!! HER HONDA CIVIC LOST THE FRONT BUMPER,HEADLIGHTS,HOOD, AND RADIATOR. ME? A NICE CREASE AND A DEEP SCRATCH. THE PROBLEM NOW IS WHEN DRIVING YESTERDAY I NOTICED A BAD PULL TO THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEN I BRAKE AND A RATTLE UNDERNEATH KINDA LIKE THE CATALYTIC CONV. AND MY FRIGGIN CEL COMES ON NOW!! HOW THE HELL COULD ALL THIS HAVE HAPPENED FROM HER HITTING ME? GONNA GET THE ACCIDENT REPORT TODAY AND GET IN TOUCH WITH INSURANCE COMP. ANYBODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH ADJUSTERS AND THIS SORT OF CRAP? BEEN DRIVING FOR 20 YEARS AND THIS IS MY FIRST ACCIDENT!! HELP!!

She may have tweaked the alignment with that Piece o' Sh$t. That is what it sounds like to me. Did you at least call her an idiot BEFORE the police came, because that is heresay and is inadmissable in a court of law?

I have a couple dealings with adjusters. The first was when a guy did the exact same thing to me in my Escort, and the second time when a guy parked beside my Talon boosted his battery and it blew up spewing acid all over the hood and front fenders. In both cases I got quotes from various shops, presented them to the adjusters and never had a problem justifying anything.

I have had quite a few dealings with adjustors. My family owns a auto body shop and its a good thing too. I swear wild animals just have death wishes. Anyway, to your question. Be sure that he adjustor knows its pulling. Its probally just the alignment and this is not the case but it is possible that she bent your frame slightly. If she hit your front wheel hard it is possible to bend the frame, be sure they check out your frame good. The best thing to do is get it check at a shop with a nice shiny high tech frame machine. This way you don't get screwed later on when you find out it still pulls after an alignment.

i feel for ya man. a little over a month ago some bad driver flew down my block and hit my parked X and knoked it 60' down the block. pics are in my sig. we had absolutely no problems with the insurance company. there was $5800 worth of damage on a $8500 truck and they didn't even try to total it. they even reumbursed me for the basketball hoop i had to replace because the driver ran it over. the guy had travelers insurance. hope all goes well.

Chuck,
I was southbound on Grand Ave in Baldwin. She made the u-turn from the curb attempting to go from southbound to northbound!!
Went to the body shop yesterday and they estimated $950 without the suspension damage. I've got a nasty pull to the passenger side from where she hit the front tire/rim.
Tomorrow is the appointment with the insurance adjuster so we'll see how they look at it...Stay tuned
