Well I was driving along and some (insert word here) hit me as I was turning because he could not wait to get around a semi. Het hit me at about 35+mph. They were very close to totalling it. They are working on it and it should be done next week. It has been there since December 2! I will post completed photos when the work has been done. The truck was 2 days old, to me, when I got nailed. Makes me cringe and tear up every time I look at those pictures! :(

ouch.... man i hope u got out and ripped him a new ass hole :S

Any frame damage?

Yikes! Is that fuel leak there?? That wheel held up damn well...

No frame damage what so ever. Just really really crunched up. There was no fuel leak. That is melting snow. In Wisconsin we have been getting a lot of that this year. There was a little bit of toe adjustment they had to make to the rear wheel but you are as surprised as I was with how well it did. They just had to replace the whole quarter panel. The lift gate was not damaged not was the rear door! Overall I got somewhat lucky!

Yeah pretty lucky considering how bad it looks. So what was the <insert word here> driving?

Did they hit the rear tire/wheel? cauz if they did, make sure they inspect it cauz you might have bent something down there (like an A-arm or a knuckle or something).

ouch ouch thats a pretty bad hit luckly it didnt catch on fire since it hit the gas tank. And did it damage the exhaust at all or is the exhaust on the driver side

And did it damage the exhaust at all or is the exhaust on the driver side
I'm pretty sure the exhaust is one of the last things on his mind right now..

If it's not I'm sure the Iranian board consensus is that "I got dual Flows on my Sport" If I had a new car for a few days and it spent over a month in the shop I'd choke an (insert word here)

The wonderful attentive driver was driving a Chevy 1500 pick-up that was also a work truck. Cant imagine what his boss had to say! No damage to the exhaust. It was luckily only the quarter panel. I was lucky with the fuel tank hit. I had less than a 8th of a tank when I got nailed and had to drive it to the body shop a long way with my butt cheeks puckered all the way! I was so hot that day. At least it is getting fixed. The wheel was ok like I said there was a toe problem that was adjusted. This all according to the body shop. I have a year warr. on the mechanical parts after repair, lifetime on the paint and body work, and in Wisconsin I have a year to claim anything for insurance. I will take it back if I find anything wrong when I can really get my nose under there. I have seen it a couple of times and it looks like it is going well. They are definitely taking their time, which I don't know is a good or bad thing. I just want my baby back!

Most people don't realize how much work is involved in a seemingly simple dent like that... The C-pillar was compromised, and much of that area uses a structural foam inside the pillars as well... Not a fun thing to try and repair, that's for sure. The materials aren't expensive, it's all the labor involved in doing the repair that kills it.
