Greeting guys/gals. I'm not a maintenance guy by any means, just know the basics (tune ups, oil changes, rotors, brakes, etc.), but I have a problem. Just recently my "O/D" light began flashing and "Service Engine" light. Had a code reader and received the "P0775" and "P2270" errors...I'm not overly concerned about the 2270 as much as the 0775 (as this seems this is transmission probs). I've searched and read up on possible causes (Solenoid blocks, etc.) but I am not attempting to do any trans repairs myself. What would be the best "next step" now that I know its transmission?

Vehicle: 03' Explorer EB AWD w/ 102k

RPM's get up to approx 3k/4k before shifting and rest of the gears seem fine as far as shifting right. Occassionally when parked and putting into drive or reverse, truck will "clunk" into gear. Besides this, nothing else appears to be different. Appreciate the all feedback.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the EEC-V section. Check the sticky threads on the top of this section for an explanation of the codes in question. I have some information in my list of useful threads as well.

You have broken overdrive servo piston or overdrive band.

Piston is like $30 and We get like 3 hours at the shop if it is just the servo piston. You can do that without removing the trans. If the band is broken trans removal is required and gets costly.
