First one,

It's about Remote starting. Where would I go about finding a good remote starting system? I've briefly looked on the internet, but I figured I'd ask here. Hopefully someone will have one, and be able to point me in the correct direction.

2nd,

Window tinting. I can not seem to find the correct answer on this. I have a stock 2000 XLT, and I am trying to match the front tint to the back tint. I can not find a correct answer on what the back tint % is. Any ideas?

3rd,

I'm replacing my stereo head unit within the next week. Looking for advice on the best purchase. I'm looking to spend around 150-175 for the head unit. Shortly, I'll be replacing the front speakers. Any advice on some quality speakers?

Thank you all!

Remote start - look into the viper alarm. Its a full alarm system, its remote start and its got programmable aux button as well for under 300 bucks.

I just got a new head unit and I love it. Its the alpine double din, I think the model number is brt-235, it has Bluetooth, USB and aux inputs. Got it for 200 bucks and it looks great. I did an install write up on it, search it if you're interested. Good luck!

Like Lono100 said, Viper is good as well as anything from DEI as remote starts go.(Viper, Clifford, Python, Avital, etc)

for the head unit and front speakers may i suggest join www.caraudio.com forum... People are very smart and knowedgable and know most everything about anything car audio related. Also could pick up some used items on there if your looking to save a few bucks. I have bought many things off there and have never had a problem. I am actually looking for a new head unit as well and also new speakers when i get around to those.

As for a remote start i have a python two way and its great because the two way will tell you if it started or not so you dont have to wonder if pressing the button worked. A one way remote will not indicate if it is running.

I agree on DEI systems and I only buy Alpine Head Units. They are easy to use and seem to sound better than most others. For the price, you can get Kicker Co-axial speakers on amazon.com and they sound great.

Nakamichi used to make about the best head units you can get but they've sold their licence now and there literally could be any old piece of crap behind the faceplate.

many people prefer to stay with the main brands for head units alpine, pioneer, kenwood, eclipse
are you going to do a single din or double din? i have a single din now that has a built in pocket thing below it to take up the extra space since the ex is a double din opening.
mine has 3 sets of pre outs for front, back, and sub. usb and aux in the front. but now I want a double din with navi...

Go double din, I used to have a deck with a useless pocket that looked ugly. As for brands, go alpine. Alpine or nothing in my opinion, they are one of the few brands that didn't compromise their quality through the years.
