Hi guys!

I have a 98 xlt with some issues I can't figure out. The most urgent is the locks. The driver door lock switch doesn't work at all, the passenger only unlocks but the rear one by the hatch works fine. I took apart both front door switches and nothing looks wrong. Also the keyless pad won't lock the fours but it does unlock. Also it looks likesomeone tried to replace the driver's side actuator. The rivet is popped and it's just kind of dangling in there. Could that be causing the lock issues?

Then there is my windshield washer. I replaced the pump but it still doesn't squirt. The like didn't look pinched or anything obvious. Any idea what to look for?

Thanks!

sorry rudeguy.... but search will do you good for the locks problems which you have multiple areas of "maintenance".

Re the locks: Search is your friend, but - having said that - these vehicle have problems with wires in the black rubber tube in the door jams breaking. There is also a wire junction under the carpet at the drivers side rear door that goes bad. Since the rear lock button works fine, one of these is likely your problem.

Re the windshield washer: Likely the switch on the stalk, or the connection in the multifunction switch (MFS) is bad. Again, a well known issue with these vehicles.
