I hit a cow!

I hit a deer about a month ago and I was amazed with my bumper. It didn't even make a mark let alone a dent. It was also the biggest doe I have ever seen in my life. I honestly thought the hood was going to go through the windshield and decapitate me. But I got out and had to do a double take on the deer to make sure I hit it because there was no mark.

Sadly, for the deer, it passed away. I hope it rests in peace ( I have a soft spot in my heart for animals)

I have seen cows jump, one jumped out in front of me one time, almost nailed the sucker, it jumped over a fence, thats how it came onto the road..

Hay Podius, Did you ever get Farmer Brown to pay for your repairs?

hehehe hitting a cow...that's almost as good as the herculiner on the hootus thing.

We just got a Christmas card from a friend in Canada, and in her note she mentioned that she hit a moose the other day. Only, reading the card was really funny because, with her very elaborate script, at first glance it looked like she wrote that she had $hit a moose :D

Had us wondering for a moment if that was some sort of strange Canadian phrase or something, then it all came together . . .

large animals jumping

A deer jumped over the cab of our old Ranger. It was the weirdest thing. You saw it coming toward the truck, then it dissappeared, followed by a loud clunk on the roof, and then its tail as it ran off into the woods. There were 3 hoof marks on the roof about 6 inches long until we traded it.

interesting, I'll have to watch for cows on the next trip to the cottage. Amazing all the people from Texas and Wisconsin looked in this forum...figures we're all farmboys.
