Search function will yield results. Another way is to ask someone who owns one if you can have a look under the hood. Fellow Explorer owners are almost always willing to share a lookie under the hood.

thanks

hey thanks for the diagram and the advice lol but im having a hard time piecing the tubes together with where they go basically what im saying is i dont have a clue as to what the diagram is showing

OK, well...the way I figured them out was by first determining what each part was by using the Chilton Manual. Then, I by looking at the connections, and the routing of the old lines I was able to get them all hooked up. It takes some research, but if you are patient, and take them one at a time, I am positive that you can get them all where they need to go.
If you tell me which ones specifically you are working with, I could help you.

i need them all i had to replace the head gasket and now i cant remember how they went back on

sounds like i just need to get a manuel and it will pretty much tell me exactly huh? another thing i tore the head off and did all the but when i got it all back together it kinda ticks a little louder than what i would like could it be a collapsed lifter if so how do i replace that??

A manual will give you the same information as the emission label that Tango51 posted.

If you have a collapsed lifter, you'll have to pull the valve covers, push rods, rocker arms, and the intake to get to them. You did label the push rods when you removed them and put them back in the same position & orientatio as when you removed them, right?

yea i labeled them but i noticed when i tightened them down i thought i heard a pop but i had a radio on and a buddy talkin to me so i didnt pay attention would i have to remove the head to get those out and what is the best way to fix the vacuum tubes

You can buy vacuum at pretty much any auto parts store, usually by the foot, and in various sizes. Best thing to do would be just to look at the vacuum routing diagram and then run new lines from the vacuum tee to the various components and keep them away from heat sources or things that could damage them.

Sorry guys, I've been busy with work. I'm a Drill Sergeant on Fort Benning and we just picked up a new class Friday.
Yeah, I second what Weasel said. Just start at the vacuum tee on the driver's side and attach one component at a time using the schematic. The manual and this forum can help you identify the components.
As far as that lifter, I've never been that deep into my engine so I really can't help you there. I just fixed a coolant leak between the block and the lower intake manifold and it almost drove me nuts worrying that I would dork it up but everything seems to be ok so far. Good luck Bro, I hope we were able to help.

i was wondering if there was any way someone could send me a really good pic of the vacuum lines on the brake booster side of the engine compartment

Hey dlilz88,
Here are a few pics for you. I'm not really sure what you need or I could be of more help. Is there any way you can let me know what the issue is? Maybe between what you know and what I know, we can figure it out and get you going...

Not to sound like a father but, Masking tape and a Sharpie..It would have helped to mark them before disassembly.
