I need advice. I'm looking for a new Explorer.

My 99 Ford Explorer [Eddie Bauer] was just totaled about 2 & a half weeks ago. And now I'm looking for an Explorer 02-04.

I absolutely loved my old Explorer, it was so reliable and that's why I'm looking for another one. The one that was totaled had 300,000+ miles and still going strong, it had 20" Panther Juice rims, and I had a custom grill.

It was very sad when they towed my car away a couple days ago.

Right now I'm looking at a black 2002 Explorer XLS. But this time I might put 22" Rims on it though, I always thought the 20" were a little small.

I Know Nothing About Cars, Need Some Advice Please

I'm looking for a used car because my 99 Explorer was totaled about 2 and a half weeks ago. Well I saw a black 2002 Ford Explorer on Craigslist for $5500 in LA. I was going to go down there to take a look at the Explorer.

But I'm far from a car guy, I know absolutely nothing about cars.

What are some thing I should look for?

Under the hood, under the car etc.

Yeah I'm sorry I should have been a little more specific.

I'm talking about how the car runs.

When I say I know nothing about cars I mean mechanically.
