I was wondering if anybody knows how to hook up an ipod to a 06 EB explorer with factory nav and six cd changer. I have the line in function but there is no where to plug in an ipod.
Get one of the adapters that plug into your cigarette lighter . you set it to a radio station turn on the radio and presto your ipod is doing its thing. Bought mine at best buy for like 19.99 or so. Called fm transmitters.
Im sure when 617ricky sees this one though hell chime in seems that hes the resident audio guru. I read a few of his posts when i was havin trouble myself and was able to get it squared away.
Here is a list of some products that will help you on your quest.
This company makes some fairly decent quality stuff. You may pay more for the OEM integration, but it is worth it if you are going as factory of a look as possible.
I know there is a post somewhere around here where someone took their External CD-changer, tied into the wiring, and added a set of AUX (Red and White) RCA jacks inline with the factory wiring. I have not been able to relocate it yet though.
Did you find something that looked like it would work for you?
I am still trying to hunt down that thread. Havne't had a whole lot of time for browsing the past couple of days.
