Ok, I just got this truck and I need to know what are the best tires to get for my truck.I go off road a lot. I was thinkin about some wrangler mt/s. They look badd ass and i think i won't get stuck in the sand or mud with them. PLus where can i find a lift kit or a sweet body kit. What are some things that i could do to it. I already put hyper white lights all around so i can see off road. PLeas help me i got the money to spend but don't know where to start!!!!!!!!!!

I have an XLS too. Do Not go into any mud with the stock wrangler RTS tires. I found out they do not have any bite and they cause your X to sink quick. Buried my front tires completely and the front of the running boards. Cost $400 to get pulleds out.

What did ya do sink it to the bottom of a mudslide? That is the biggest amount i have ever heard anyone of paying just to get unstuck and towed. Unless you had them to it across the whole country!!!

I think your talking about the new Wrangler MT/R's they are great tires for all around, you could start off with a 3" PA Body lift ($140, PA 883) and do the TT/Shackles and get a set of 33's I thinkn it would look sweet

Heres a pic of my '97 Sport with the 3"BL and tt/shackles on 33's before my new rims

Thanks, it makes the truck look a whole lot different! Now its time for some 35's :D

Nweibley and Rocket My friends did not have time to pull me out cause I was stuck on Private property with the philly cops probably close by, my friend flagged a passing tow truck and it pulled me out. $400 is better than the philly cops finding me tresspassing and giving me a $1,000 fine and possibly confiscating my X.

man that is tough luck on that one. Well i hope everything works out

I think maybe your friends knew about this and didn't want to get $1000 ticket on them. Well, anyways, like what Rocket said, hope everything works out for you.

I'f you're really hardcore about this get the RCD kit for the 98+ Ford Rangers (Yes, it will fit). Then relocate the rear springs above the axle and een it all out. You'll end up with a sturdy 5" lift that will impress any off-roader. The coilovers will look s bad ass sticking out from under there. Then get new wheels and possibly 33x12.50 or even 35x12.50 if you can make them work. What kind of tire you need is up to you tho. You need to ***** what you use the truck the most for. The Wrangler MT/Rs only get about 30k or so with extended street use and they're expensive as hell.
