i need help on how to lift Mountaineer

i need help on how to lift my 97 Mountaineer i had someone tell me the only way to lift it is to put a body lift on it

Welcome to the site.. You have a couple of options:
1. 3" Body lift. Performance Accessories PA-853
2. 4" suspension lift
3. 5" RCD lift
4. Torsion twist & shackles for about 1-2"

There are a few options for lifting your mountaineer. It has the same suspension as similar years of explorer and also 98-05 Rangers. Here are your choices best to worst.

if all i did was put 3" body lift what size tires would fit best and i not have to re gear it or the tires to scrub
