maybe its bad hose for the coolant resivior.

Take it some where else. If you have the SOHC there is no coolant near the intake gaskets. If you don't have a leaky hose I would say that maybe you blew a head gasket. Just because your oil is clean does not mean that your head gasket is not blown. I would fill-er-up, put it on a pressure tester and pressureize the system while someone is under the truck. (wear safety goggles...) Look at the head, block, the radiator tanks where they attach to the radiator itself and all hoses.

nope i dont have the sohc i have the base 4.0l 6 banger

I don't think that you have a blown head gasket. I would look for a hose that is poring out your coolent.
jp450 has the right idea as far as checking to see if the head gasket is blown, a pressure check will tell you.

I'd find a good radiator shop in your area. They should be able to pressure-test the system and find the leak.

However, if you have a leak, finding the source is really quite simple: Crawl underneath it and follow the sweet green trail back to the source.

My guess, off-hand and sight-unseen, would be a leaky heater hose.

You might also wanna take a look at the wate pump. i have a 1981 mazda rx-7 and i had that same exact problem. i know there are no similarities between the two, but they both have water pumps and thats what it could be...
