'03 Rubicon - Tomb Raider
Here's the new rig that's taking up space in the old garage... Lara had to take a cab back to Hollywood where she belongs!;)

NICE! didnt they only make like 1000 of the tomb raider editions?

You gotta spend some money and make it look like the real one.

Winch
Snorkle
Windshield hinge lights

Congrats and have fun!

so i dont get it....did you just build up a rubicon or did you actually get the LCTR special edition....i know none are exactly the same as in the move but yours comes close and it looks like it has teh logo on the side panel.

i would only own a jeep if my ex betrayed me....which i know will never happen. but that doesnt deny the fact that they can be nice rigs.

I would love an old CJ as a trail only rig, but then again I would probably choose a Zuk

My Rubicon - Tomb Raider Edition is #815 out of 1000 total production. They were only produced for the California market, and I've only seen one other Tomb Raider on the road, while 1 other guy on the 'net in my area has one, and wants to 'wheel. They're pretty rare, and once I can afford a lift, larger tires, and a few other goodies, I'll be very, very happy. I do love my truck (which is for sale at the moment), but this came stock with all of the hard parts that I wanted right away (and I didn't want to wait around for until I could afford them). So, I'm happy with the purchase overall...

I saw a couple of them here in NC. I think they look pretty cool but the lights on the light bar seem small to my taste. But very very nice ride, Ken!

The Defender was sooo much cooler and better then that POS jeep. A British person should drive a british car, not a crappy Jeep:mad:

First off, I'm Black, not British. Second, I love the Defender 90, but I am told the engines cost a measly $10,000 to replace. I have to repair/rebuild the engine in my '94 Ranger, so, here I am with the Jeep. The editor of 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility gave the Defender 90 a thumbs down (this month) in his editorial, explaining that the thing rode so loud his ears went numb. I still think the D90 is a definite piece of automotive history that I wish I could afford to buy into. But, my POS Jeep does have the hard parts (and comfort) to get me where I want to go. I'll miss the Ranger, I'd love a D90, or a classic Bronco, but I settled on the Jeep w/the factory lockers - 4:1 - and drivetrain warranty.

I, for one, love it. Congrats ken!

Whoever told you the engine was $10,000 was lying to you. It would cost that much to convert it to a TDi. Sorry Stephen but I think the Rubicon is over rated. But that my personal opinon. The Defender in the tomb rader is a 110 I am pretty sure. And for the ride, it is a better ride then a Wrangler. I have found a D90 that I am going to buy, it is just a bit expensive at $46k. So I will have to talk them down on that.

And the comment about the British person was that Lara Croft is British person.
