I wanna swap in a v8!?

Hows it going every one I just bought a 91 exploder that is all
stock except for the 6" of lift! I wanna do a v8 swap but need
to know if I can go with the stock axles and transfer case! Im
going with a mild v8 and its gonna be a everyday driver so wont
be beating on it to hard.

Stock axles will handle 35" tires if you're not super hard on the skinny pedal...some guys have had luck with even bigger. You're gonna need to re-gear for larger tires (I assume you want bigger rubber with the 6" lift?)

A mild V8 like the 4.6 or even the old Explorer 5.0 in stock form will be fine as long as your not stupid with the throttle. Guys break axles with the 4.0 litre...

I recommend you do a good search for V8 swaps on here. There are several threads discribing projects people have done.
