Ok, well I've been having a rough idle for a while now. Replaced PCV valve, cleaned MAS, replaced plugs + wires, so I'm assuming it's probably the IAC Valve... Do these things usually go out on X's? I've seen a lot of threads on these. $60 isn't the worst price if that's what'll fix this annoying idle.

I really have no idea on this one, so I wont say anything to persuade you to go one way.

Oyes, IAC problems are VERY common on Fords for some reason. Actually, it's common on any throttle body which uses an idle air control system to adjust idle for power straining devices like air conditioning. Most of the time you don't have to replace it and just have to clean it out with some carb. cleaner. That's what I did, and it's been working fine since. Easy to get off also :)

Yeah I hate how the things that do the least but need to be replaced more often, are the hardest things to get to. I saw a picture of this and knew exactly where it was. I was happy it's so accessible! I'll probably get some carb cleaner tomorrow, what do I spray? The inside of it? Any specific carb cleaner I should use? Thanks!
