Im really shocked that Im getting 18 MPG in stop and go traffic. I have a 22 mile drive to work each way. I figured it was more like 15 maybe. Whats everyone else getting just normal driving in town and such?

It's because yours is a 2wd, and a 5spd. I would say I get 12-14ish.

12 if Im lucky and more likely 9-10....

Dan

I'm getting an easy 18 as of now, but I'm still driving the stock lift and tire size.

last tank i got 11...but thats was in 4x4 most or all the time i usually get between 12 and 13

Seriously?! Those numbers are nuts. Thought gas milages would be getting better as the models got newer. My 89 F150 5speed with 4.9L I6 2wd gets bout 10-12 mpg in town on 31's, got 3.08's in the rear thou.

I think I could get 22 or better if I change my driving. I drive rather hard, the type thats always first from a light etc.

I'm in the same boat. With what I spend on gas each month, I found that driving any car with over 20 MPG would cut my fuel cost in half. That means that my fuel savings will make the payments on any economy car I want to buy.

Yep, I went from 8-9 to 31 back to 8-9 then to the 18 Im at now. Its amazing what it saved me going from 8-9 to 31.

i get 19mpg with my sport with a 4.0 0hv and the 5r55e in city traffic with a lead foot:burnout:
