I'm looking for some mechanical advice.

Hey I have a 93 ford ranger not the 4x4 and its having a problem starting. You can turn the key on and everything comes on radio, lights etc. but when you turn it over it kills everything. The starter is new and the silanoid by the battery. When it does crank up the starter won't disengage and keeps running with the fly wheel. Before the starter was replaced the start silanoid was and i think it was put on wrong. No wires have been crossed or are damaged. any advice id greatly appreciated.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your post into its own thread in the Ranger section. Double check the wiring connections on the starter relay.

I traced the wires from the starter through-out the truck to see if its disconnected somewhere. it runs straight from the battery to the starter to the relay to the altinator. my brother changed the relay(by the battery on the wall) before I changed the starter.
