im lost

i bought a 1993 ford explorer xlt its a 4x4 and was converted to a 5speed. its real strong and has heart to power thru everything i put in front of it. however i was at the mud bogs last night and some how it got stuck in 4th with the **** lever still moving free. i cannot get it to catch and doing my best to learn as i go when it comes to fixing it. any help??

G'day, might be a broken shifter linkage? Try doing a search on your problem and see if any other idea's surface.
