I just recently aquired a 92 explorer xlt with a 4in rancho lift for about $400
I have some question if anyone could help.

1st is what seats will fit in my year like will 98 or 2000 seat fit in my 92?
2nd is does any one have or know where to by fender flares for a good price?

Thanks for any help.

All the seats from rangers and up to 2001 explorers should fit your truck. The bodies were for the most part the same. As far as i have seen, they even use the same center console on the new rangers. At least the '07 I looked at had the same console. Check out the local junkyards, there are lots of government ruined explorers in the boneyards these days.

As far as fender flares, look around on the internet. There are lots of companies that sell aftermarket stuff for these trucks. I like LMC truck. Some of their stuff is expensive but they have alot of parts.

I just realized how close you are to me. I'm right across the river in Covington. Try Bessler's pull and pay in Hebron. They have a couple newer(97-2000) eddie bauers with near perfect interiors. I was just out there 2 weeks ago.

Welcome To The Forum and world of explorers. You will be able to bolt 91-01
seats in your truck and if you happen to get dual powered seats and yours doesn't have power seats do a search on here and you will find which wire is hot and which are for ground, I found it a couple months ago when putting a set of seats in my 96 from a 00.

Just a warning! Ranger seats will bolt in, but the track assemblies are offset to the inside of the vehicle an inch or so. I put a set of '97 Ranger buckets in my old '92 and other than having to swap the seat belt buckles, they dropped right in. The way the tracks are offset though you will end up sitting slightly to the right of center on the steering wheel. It feels really weird at first, but you will get use to it.
