In Dire Need of Help!!!

Morning! I feel your pain, man. Any chance you can check the fuel pressure at the rail with a fuel pressure gauge cold vs. warm? This will help you test the pump and the functioning of the regulator. Also, I'm not sure if your issues are only when the car is cold or when it is warm, but the engine coolant temp sensor also makes changes to the fuel pressure via the regulator. Might be another input worthy of considering testing.

Since you've pretty much done just about all the emissions components at this point, I'd also make sure your DPFE is working. Probably should replace that too since it is relatively cheap. The DPFE is what throws EGR related codes.

If all this works, I'd say that your Ex has a lot of life left in her... and hope that your transmission drain and fill keeps the trans happy. While you are there, might as well adjust the bands since it is easy to do too.

Good luck!

Maybe not trans related

Call the local Ford dealer's parts department and supply them with the VIN.....ask if the vehicle has a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)...if so,they can produce a print out showing location, part number and price.......

I hate to say it but one of my friends said the best way to piss someone off is the put a plastic bag in their gas tank. When you fill it goes in and when you step on the gas it sucks in the bag causing issues but when you let off the gas the bag floats and all problems seem to go away. Not sure what the problem is but its something I happened to remember. Hope all goes well.

Okay, I appreciate all the insight I am getting from everyone, but one thing is beginning to irritate me.. I stated before I don't have a fuel pressure test gauge... and I already closed up the transmission... Please, do everybody and yourself a favor, read through the entire posting before posting your own thoughts... I hate to sound like an a$$hole, but I hate repeating myself..

Renzi-I never thought about a bag being shoved into my gas tank, I highly doubt that is the case since I generally don't do things to piss off other people...I'll check though when I drop the tank...

EYFD- I highly doubt it's the TPS, which I know is on my vehicle because that is a part I tested a few weeks ago and all that checks out fine, thank you for the input..

To everybody else, the culprit has to be the fuel pump... nothing else seems to make sense anymore
Other than that. It is so loud I can hear it over the stereo, I asked my friend who helped me replace the pump, and he said he didn't put the new strainer on because the old one looked fine.... it's known to ruin pumps if you don't swap that too..

Well good luck to you. i hope you get her running 100%.

that little *******. I hope you set it on fire after you replaced it.
