I put a manual t-case (13-54) in my 92 EB this weekend and I need some help getting the dash lights to work. I read the "How to swap electronic T-case for Manual BW13-54" in the List of useful Threads and there was a mention that it could be done. Has anyone ever figured out which wires to splice to the T-case?

I don't think you can light up the switch ones, only the dash ones.

That's what I want to do. I would like to get the 4X4 and Low lights to come on. What would be the correct way to wire this to make them work?

I would think the connector that comes off the manual case would be the same as the electric case. It probably just plugs in. The wires that used to go to the top buttons would just be dead.

The manuel t-case has a 2 pin connector on the front side of the case. The elec. t-case doesn't have this connector. It uses the large connector that goes to the elect. motor which is located on the aft side of the t-case. The only reason I would want these lights to work would be for when my wife would drive in the winter during the ice we get here in Oklahoma.

YOU will hAVE SOME WORK TO DO...

Did you remove the entire electric shift system when you did the conversion?

button/switch, controll box, wiring, and shift motor?

I unplugged the connector from the elect. t-case and removed the t-case. I replaced with 13-54 t-case. Old connector is still hanging under truck. I did remove old dash switch but nothing else. Do I need to remove all items associated with the elect. t-case?

nO YOU DONT HAVE TO BUT YOU SEE THAT BIG SQAURE PLUG GOES to the electric shift control box, then two of the wires go to the dash for the high and low range lights. So in order to make the lights work you will have to:

1. wire up sensors in the floor shifter
2. run new wires from said sensors

You see your new manual shift has no low range or high range sensors, at least thats what I get from your description.

Are the two wires coming out of the front of the T case the speed sensor??/

Have you tried your cruise control yet? :)

I don't know if the cruise works or not. I purchased this Ex from a salvage to remove all running gear to put in my 89 Bronco II.
When I got it home and started to get a better look at it I decided to rebuild it.
If you have the BW13-50 or 13-54 in your Bronco you can look at the front of the transfer case above the vent and you will see a 2 wire plug going into the top of the case. This is the sensor for the 2 above mentioned lights that I would like to get to work. If you look in the Haynes manual for the Ex in the transfer case section it shows the 4X4 indicator sensor at the back of the transfer case, SO this would lead me to believe that the large plug for the electrical motor houses the wiring for the indicator lights. Sorry for all the confusion and hoped this helps some.

Dude I have a OHV 4.0L with a custom !4LD attached to a BW 1354 Electric shift in my BII.
I also have the overhead touch drive 4x4 buttons.
I have wired my truck so that both the overhead indicator lights and the $X$ and LOWRANGE light son the dash work.

Yes the wires are in that big ol plug, problem is they go to the electric shift controller first before the lights, and you dont have any power going to your electric shift controller or any of the eletric shift wires hooked up anymore!!!

Ok we finally got on the same page. What I'm looking for is somone who has done this swap AND hooked up the wiring for the lights ALSO. Out of everybody that has replaced their transfer case I would tend to think that somone has figured it out. Anybody?
