Ive got a 97 xlt with 5.0 AWD. I purchased indiglo gauges from indiglogauges.com. When I installed them, they have some differences. Nothing Im too worried about but... The check engine light now says fuel cap, and it did not come with a needle rest for the oil pressure gauge, also it has a spot for 4wd and 4WD low, which mine doesnt have. Did I get the wrong set or are these just meant to be universal? Like I said It really doesnt bother me, looks great anyway.

thats the way they are. you can cut your little knob off and reattach it to the new gauges. also i recommend that you paint your needles red with a permanent marker because it really helps the visibility. here's a pic of mine

I dont think they make them for every year, just update them when theres major changes. all of them have the 4x4 lights. I second the red sharpie (or maybe a transparency marker)

Thanks

Thanks for the tip. I painted them with a transparency marker and it turned out great!

wuts wrong with a permanent marker? and wut kinda transparency marker are you talking about? the over head markers or white board markers?

clark, transparency markers (overhead) are designed to let light bleed and are not permanate. Sharpies are. If you screw up with a sharpie, suck it up. If you use a transparency marker and mess up, get out a wet paper towel. Also, I dont think trans markers have that nasty relection that sharpies do on glass-like surfaces.
