Hey guys
So I replaced my front suspention. But when I got to try and get the boot to stay on the rack to cover the inner tie rod it always pops off when I turn to full lock. I've tried zip ties like so of the threads on here say to do, but when I go to pull it tight it slips off the rack than compresses the boot and popps off.
Is there another way to get it to stay on or worse come to worse would it kill my rack if they don't stay on?

Any input would be great from you experts

there were originally metal bands holding the boot on. i'm not sure what they're called, but i'm sure someone sells them (NAPA maybe? maybe an alignment shop?). they require a special crimping tool to install them however.

hose clamps would work best without getting the metal straps and special tool.
