So there’s a handle on the A-pillar on the passenger side for entry/exit. But can I remove the A-pillar trim on the driver’s side and install one there?

It would help my elderly father get in better, and I’d just get one from the parts yard.

Thanks!

I've seen it before, a member here did a write up a couple years ago...

I did it in my 1988 Bronco II. I got so tired of having a handle just on the passenger side. I grabbed matching handle from junk yard
Then I used rivets that leave a threaded insert, installed two of those in the A pillar drivers side behind the trim, Drilled the trim and installed new handle. EXCELLENT MOD! I use it all the time

Just a suggestion, maybe "car entry assist handle" -- google it and see another idea.
