I'm going to get 2 of these for down under the dash under the drivers and front passenger's feet.

I'm also going to get a 2 way toggle switch to turn them on and off. I think I will be wiring them directly to the battery. Where are the best places to connect the grounds under the dash for both sides? Also, do I just run the power wire to one side of the 2 way switch, and then the positive of the led's to the other side? I need to know the best way to keep the wiring out of the way, while being able to connect two of these LED's to the switch. Where is the best place to put the switch? These have 3 foot long 22 gauge pos./neg. wires. I can't think of where the toggle switch will go, and how I will wire both led's to the switch.

The first item on that page is a 12v cigarette lighter adapter, for $12. I may just get this to keep things simple, can I get these anywhere cheaper? Also, it says it is only 2 amps, is that enough for the LED's I linked above? thanks

2 amps is more than enough
the specs on that page say:
# Draw: less than 26mA @ 12 volts!

Thanks, also what is the best way to mount these? I figure maybe I can use some strong packing tape or something and just tape the ends down real good, it's not like it will be visible as long as it will hold I'm fine.

When putting this cig lighter in, I can just take both neg./pos. wires from each LED and wire all 4 to the cig adapter right? Or can the not be grounded through it.

k I know how I'm going to wire it all but I want to hear from some of you guys on where you have your switches to turn them on/off, and exactly how you mounted yours down by your feet if you did, I looked and the passenger side is okay, but idk how to mount them under the drivers side.

You still have to ground the switch to get the LED to work.

EDIT: if you're going with blue LEDs like you linked in the first post, you can go to Autozone and get a rocker switch with a blue LED for like 6 bucks.

alright thanks, how do you guys mount your led's? I've been looking around and can't find too much info on it, also if you have details on where you ran your wires/switches that would be great too

thanks guys

I bought a music interface card from StreetGlow. You can keep the lights on or have them beat with the music. Anyway, I decided to give up 1 of the 2 cig lighters. The one near the floor was very easy to access in my 98. Just removed the cup holders. Then I cut the wires to the cig lighter and connected them to the switch. This way I didn't need to run a negative or the positive to the battery or fuse panel. The lights actually came with cig adapters but I cut them off. The switch can handel 12 different neons or LEDs (as long as they are 2 wire lights).

I mounted them under the dash by creating a mounting bracket out of wood (later I am turning it into metal). The hardest part was getting a drill in there to drill the holes. Not much room for a drill, my head, and my hands  . Haven't done the passanger's side yet because there is a big black box in the way and I need to find a way to mount them
