Installed a flowmaster and having issues

JUst got my ST 4.0 V6 back from the shop. Had dual exhaust installed with Flowmaster 40s dual with 2 1/4 pipes. Truckss runs fine but I notice in park when I rev the truck seems to run (spuuter miss???) at about 3500 rpms, what is going on??? Help! :O)

i think you are hitting the park-neutral rev limiter so actually your truck is more than likely working correctly
 












yup, it keeps you from blowing the motor in neutral by over revving the thing
 






why rec past 3500 in N? Just to hear your new exhaust? :P

Definately whats going on.

Its a feature in the PCM designed to keep people like Zorlack
from damaging the motor just to hear it.
 






Zorlak,I did the exact same thing 3 months ago when i got my Magnaflow installed!! Too funny, you never REV it up in nuetral with the stock muffler, but with a new exhaust, you GOT to hear it! I actually posted on the board just like you did and the guys set me straight. I thought the new exhaust messed up my computer, but it really is your REV limmiter.

I now have a SCT flash device, and you can raise that limit with the SCT. Don't woory about it, just drive it and enjoy the 4.0 engine! I just came from a 95 V6 Ranger and could not blieve the differnce the ST is with this 4.o.
