Well I have been working to "refresh my explorer" it has 80k miles. Heres the list in red is complete, will be all done in the next month! I tend to stick to OEM parts they were designed for the exploders and have lasted with both my fords, I like Motorcraft parts, but Moog will always be first when it comes to suspension! Sorry for cell phone pics!

wow good job bro ... it will be like riding on air ... how much has the moog stuff set you back?

Nice work man! I have the greasable uppers too. How hard was the install on the lowers?

Lowers are not too bad, just get a ball joint fork and and mini sledge, it pops loose good!

Super Duty Pads caught my eye... better braking ???

Sweet work mate!

Super Duty Pads caught my eye... better braking ???

Well I personally thought that the OE brakes did a great job even with larger tires, I went with the super duty for one reason extended pad life. I went around the block with it just to seat the caliper pistons. I am taking it in to the shop tomorrow for an alignment and get the new tires re-balanced at discount tires.... they have a nasty wobble at higher speeds, i think it might have been the lower ball joints.

I will post review of the brakes once i get the rears installed.

I guess disconnecting upper/lower control arms or tie rods requires a realignment?

I am asking because I was planning on doing an alignment for my spacer lift but may hold off till I swap in my 4.10 axles since that will require disconnecting a number of suspension components. Maybe I'll do lower ball joints and tie rod ends while I've got it apart.

I'm hoping to do the same this summer as well. I've got a 140,000 miles on mine and last week the rear hub bit the dust, so she's currently parked until I can get that fixed:(

How much did the pads and rotors run for? I have to replace my front and rear as well.

oh i believe they were 240ish for the front and 190 for the rear... They only took me an hour to install... The SUPER DUTY line is very good! only oem parts go on my truck, these things stock on a dime with my trailer behind it loaded.
