I recieved my 73mm C&L from Hensonperformance on Thursday and have been dying to put it in my truck.
I have to modify my Volant intake to accept the bigger MAF- also have to plug the old screw holes with silicone.
The question is, did the people who have done this Mod need to get their "X's re-tuned right away or can it wait. I am told that sometimes this size MAF can throw engine codes and make the engine run lean.
Do to my vacuum leak I feel that I am getting extra fuel in the engine any way so maybe more air would help things out.
I would love to re-tune but don't have the $350 it would take for dyno time and money to pay the Calibrator, especially around the Holidays. I should have it within two weeks or so.
I am dying to install that MAF Today though, and will include pictures.
