 im still pondering on what the heck you just said

Are you asking if you can convert your truck to run on propane or methane instead of gasoline? If so, I'm sure that you can, but it would probably be more work then it's worth, and I don't know if it's ever been done.

I think he's asking if he can run his truck on Gasonline.

if your asking if you can run it on gasoline the answer is yes as long as ford didnt make some crazy engine for the austrailian version......

Australian English is similar to British English... they call it "petrol", instead of "gas". So he's not talking about gasoline... I assume that he means some kind of compressed gas (propane, methane, CNG, etc).

ohh. well gas is the only thing you can put in them unless you have a conversion for propane...

Haha, maybe he means NOS! :D :burnout:

;)

im not sure he knows what he means.

He means LPG ( liquified petroleum gas). How do you not know this?lol
Go the yanks.
I think its because your steering wheel is on the wrong side.

bout time you yanks learnt english:thumbsup: :D ;)
gas here in australia is lpg i guess i should have put it as lpg but didnt realise so many people would miss interpret
but my question (simplified)
can you run a 96 explorer on lpg

Yeah you can , i saw one done a few years ago in a car yard here in sydney.

Hi Roby - I have a 2002 UT V6 and had the first LPG conversion in Vic (AUS) This was done at Parnell LPG Systems In Laverton Vic. I believe there were problems with the ealier series, would be best to ask them - their contact is 03 9315 1699.. U can also call me on 0418 566538... Cheers.... Les

thanks there splata ill have to check but i think i contacted parnells via web site and was told it would cost $5000 to do theres a place here in adelaide that say can do for $4000 apparently the plastic manifolds wont take to the gas they explode or something so have to get a manifold conversion kit to convert and there is some uncertanty as to if they can sling the tank under the car so will have to take it in for visual
now gotta decide if its worthwhile to do or to trade onto something else on gas :yelexp:

well took the explorer in for a look see they can only install what they call the doughnut tank ie round with a useable 67 litre tank goes in where the spare sits they might be able to install larger tanks ie 100litres but would have to be custom made so would cost even more
also does anyone in australia know where you can get a spare wheel carrier for the explorer asked a few places and they just look at you stupid
also just for curiosity went to a car yard for an idea of value (first checked red book) vehicle is in pretty much top condition with 2 monitors dvd ect they offer $5000
i laughed and walked away while he was trying to tell me it was the best deal i would get
