Instrument Cluster

I'm going to get a new one, that is where my problems are stemmed from, What i was wondering if a 04 Instrument cluster will be a direct fit in a 02????

I believe it should be fine.
Hopefully someone here will know for sure.

If you are going to replace it.. .watch ebay for an 02 mountaineer cluster... the mountaineer cluster has white gages and chrome accents.. much nice... I know a few people have done that modification here. If you search ebay look for the LKQ auctions, they usually have the cluster for about $30-40

The website I had looked at before was

but its no longer working... It was a page with several easy mods for a 3rd gen explorer with pictures.

Ill keep searching, if I find it... Ill post it.
