Instrument lights, change color

Does anyone have any idea how you can change the color of the instrument lights? The bulbs are clear.

Does anyone have any idea how you can change the color of the instrument lights? The bulbs are clear.

If you have the clear bulbs then it means that you have the gauge face that has a "film". Even if you change the bulbs, they will still be filtered off by this film.

The best way to do this is to carefully disassemble your gauge cluster. Carefully remove the clear cover, gauge needles and stoppers and with a thin knife (or something similar) pry off the 3 gauge faces.

Hold it against a bright light and note which of the colors you want to change. In my case, I only wanted to change the greens to blue.

On the third picture (with the knife), notice that the "kmh" has been scraped off and is now white - compared to the other letters and numbers that are still dark gray.
