Intake manifold gasket.

in the process of replacing lower intake gasket on 4.0 l EFI [vin x] type on 1998 explorer any suggestions

The only real tip I can give is leave the fuel rail on the lower intake. If you must take that apart (say you want to change the o-rings), put the fuel rail on the lower intake before you put it back on the motor. Getting all the o-rings lined up when everything is in the truck gets a little tricky and you can easily pinch a o-ring.

If you do change those injector o-rings, put some cooking oil on them for lubricant (no petroleum based oil).

Are there any specific things your wanting to know about?

I printed it out and had it right there next to us. It's well written, and it's based on a 98 Ranger with the 4.0 OHV, so it should be virtually the same for yours.
