Intake Manifold Swap?

I dont know if anyone has attempted this before, but would a theoretical swap from the intake manifold on the 4.0 Cologne v6 in the mustang vs the Explorer (same motor) be possible? I know the actual front of the intake has to change positions, since the Explorer is side mount throttle body, and the Mustang is forward mount, but is there any way it would be possible? Or would the costs outweigh the benefits.

it can be done! one would have to relocate intake, but i dont see why it would be done? imo, its not a major restriction, so i dont see how the beneit (maybe 1 pony) would outweigh the cost. just get a high flow filter and call it a day

It can be done motor-wise but hood clearance could be an issue. I got a replacement engine from a Mustang and only swapped the intake and maybe the motor mounts for the original Explorer ones.
As I understand, the Explorer intake is tuned for more low end torque
