Why is it that streeters always seem to have a good looking girl (or any number of girls) around the vehicle?

I thought the focus was on the vehicle, not the girl?

Or do they need the girl to make the vehicle more appealing?

I had a chance to speak with the owner of that truck at the Indy Truck Bash. Those rims are 22s. It is bagged and still has a fully functional 4WD system.

Awesome truck.

Something about suicide doors bothers me, at least as an after-market item. I guess I could almost see it on a 4-door truck, if only the rear doors opened like that, but on a 2-door, it just looks funny.

I agree with Cory. Hey to each their own, I just never got into the street/show scene. I mean I either want to go fast in a car, or crawl over them in a truck. The girl belongs in the driver or passanger seat of a car/truck with a big smile on her face, not next to it.

i am not a huge fan of street stuff, but that X is bad ass and those rims are freakin awesome.

i wish i had the kind of money needed to build something like that! that is my favorite pic of an explorer with big rims ever.

that said, how much better would it be with an air dam, with the tint reflecting dark black instead of the grey/silver, and with the tail lights painted for show (i would recommend having to sets one painted dark for show and then the stockers for regular use)

that negative stuff said- once again i love that truck and it is my favorite explorer ever with big rims on it!

i agree with expo, its a sweet truck. I think those girls are just posing for the picture like for fun, but i may be wrong, they just dont seem to be modeling.... but anyway i love the truck and i agree with expo on the tint, but i really think it needs a C notch (or a bigger one) in the back, because it looks like the back end needs to come down a lil bit more.

i think it just has to do with man wanting to breed with all things attractive. as far as the girls making the vehicle more appealing, i dont even notice the vehicle when there are girls in front of it. it could have been a street X, or a Diablo, or a primered Datsan pickup. maybe i have tunnel vision.

What good is a 4wd system on a truck like that? I seriously doubt it ever sees dirt roads or snow.....

Wouldnt the 4wd system bind up on the street?

Do that to a 2wd....

Oh and heck man those girls can stand in front of my truck anytime, I'd take pictures too!!!! Its just for fun right? I mean if the dude wants to put all that $$$ into his 2 door X and have some chicks stand in front of it for some pictures, who cares? To each his own......

I agree with that....if any ladies like that want to stand in front of my X so that I can take pictures, you better bet I would have a full roll of film on hand.

These pics are relatively old. He has since replaced the tail lights with altezzas (even though it's a 97, he did a little body work to make them fit. There really isn't much he can do about the tint, unless he gets custom made clear glass. The front end looks pretty cool with the stock airdam because he put a billet insert down there.

which rims are you looking at?

it looks like the wheels are going to rub againts the wheel wells especially when loaded with five heavy people.
