I have a 96 XLT I just bought and have lights out in drivers door window controls, the headlight and dome light control, and now my question. Is there any lights in the turn signal switch, wiper control, lever that are supposed to glow. I also have the left cruise control switches lights out. I have read that the cruise bulbs are not replaceable. Is this true or can they be fixed. Thanks

You are only partially correct.... the bulb is replaceable but not with an "exact" replacement. There are threads on the replacement. I do believe if you want an "exact" replacement (ie. color) that the bulb is almost as expensive as the whole switch... a better idea from Ford...:-)

Check out this thread: Cruise Control Bulbs The bulbs from a later model Explorer will fit the 2nd Gen switch.

Thanks for all the info. I figured they could be replaced just had not tried to do it yet. Now if you could just make my reverse work a little quicker. lol
