- 2004 Ford Explorer XLT
Hello all, my name is Steve and I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I recently sold my 2007 Chevy Silverado and purchased a 2004 Ford Explorer with 130,000 miles. My main reason for this was to drop from a 450 dollar monthly payment to a 148 dollar a month payment.
A co-worker's dad was selling his Explorer. I went and looked at it and really liked it. He took good care of it and kept up the maintenance. The only thing wrong with it is the paint peeling on the hood and a few minor rust spots.
So far, I am loving it. The only problem I can hear is the front end squeaking. Reading the forums here it sounds like I need to lube up the sway bars so I will do that when I get a chance.
