Is 4.26.12023 Current?

When I was speaking to ford customer service about my bills for towing etc when my fan assembly broke down and left me stranded 300 miles from my home

The woman says i dont have the updated sync, I had mine updated before i got any flash drive in the mail, and i never got one, so maybe they arent linked up, i made appt tomorrow to look into this but is it a waste?

this is what I see on my system 4.26.12023

is that current?

i had the new sync system installed but is there another new update?

(to be fair, ford says they are reimbursing me for my expenses, which is great, i give credit where it is due)

My guess is you have the most current version but have failed to update syncmyride.com - thus the CS person probably thought you were still on 2.11

You need to download the sync status checker tool and follow those directions to update your account on syncmyride.com to reflect the proper version.

if this involves me putting a flash drive into my car and then into my computer, i will pass, i think i recall that is how?

why didnt the dealer do it, remind me, are ford owners suppose to update their own deals and the dealer cant?

and I got the 4.26 number off of my car sync screen, but there is no way for me to know if that is current or not

i tried reporting successful installs before, wont work, i guess it is possible i have the wrong usb flash drive

still AMAZING to me that the dealer didnt do this but what would be even more stunning would be if they cant and i have to, how many ford owners would do that...crazy

dealer says it was done but that it may take more than 2 months for ford to know that wow

i cant wait to , never mind, thanks

Download the status checker onto a USB flash drive. Then plug it into the Explorer. Next press the "i" on the MFT screen, then select Sync Apps and Install Applications and begin your software installation. When done plug it back into the SAME usb port in your computer that you used to download the status checker.
By the way, that number you quote isn't the MFT revision. The latest revision is Gen2 V3.0.2.
That number is the CCPU Software version and it is the same as mine.

thanks gen2 v3.0.2 is what mysync page says i have, where on my vehicle i can see this info i am not sure

That is a good question. I went out and sat in my Ex in the garage trying to find that info without any luck. Strange that it gives you the Nav. information but not the MFT. Maybe we're missing something or it simply isn't available on any of the screens.

All you have to do is run a Health Report. That will update SyncMyRide to the version you have in your vehicle....piece of cake! I see you already have it done but for anyone else with a similar problem this is the easy way to do it!
