hey folks just after some info wondering if it is is possible to fit my 2001 explorer with a turbo (*two if possible) or would it be easier to super charge it??
here the link to my question i posted on a different 4x4 site. . .(*beware a few explorer bashers!!!) :
http://www.4wdaction.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=77398

so if any one could answer the question to both this post and (*if you have time and can be bothered to help out a fellow explorer owner!) answer the other questions on the link provided that would be great!!

Sure it's possible if you are a good fabricator or have access to one. We have others on this site who have turbocharged their Explorers. Just do a search for turbocharger and you should find some good info...

A word of caution... Often the turbos end up being mounted low in the engine compartment. We had one member seize his engine after he drove through water deeper than the turbo... Water being forced into the engine by a turbo doesn't work to well... BOOM!!

welcome

thanks for the welcome but more thanks to the info rick i will keep that in mind

I guess it all depends on what you can find for parts and also what your looking for on an outcome. If your looking for across the boards power for daily use I'd go Super Charger. I've always put "turbo" as more thrill or race applications.
