Is it standard to replace rear main seal when the trans comes out?

Cause if it is the guy that did my tranny is a scumbag!. My rear main seal is leaking. I thought this was replaced with the tranny since it was out. I looked through my receipts & see no mention of it.
I remember on my B2 is was replaced.

its not standard, but it is a good idea. mine wasnt leaking when i had my trans replaced but i had it replaced anyway.

No, it's not standard. Yes, you should have had it replaced. Don't feel bad though, mine started leaking after I dropped the tranny last time and I'm just getting around to dropping it again, this time that seal is getting replaced!
