Is Moog the brand to get?

I have to replace the ball joints real soon, so is Moog the brand to go with, or is there something else that's better AND widely available?

My steering is a little loose, so, same question as above, in regards to steering ends.

The prices I got at Carquest for Moog ball joints were ~$25 apiece uppers, and ~$32 apiece lowers. I haven't checked elsewhere yet.

Moog is good... In all the parts like that around here, Moog is really all I have ever seen... But I do know that their products are good....

Moog is a premium brand. If you compare a Moog balljoint to a TRW you can immediately see the difference in quality even though TRW is the parent company of Moog. For the small difference in price it isn't worth skimping.

I've used both TRW and Moog, and can't say which is better. One of them gives you the snap ring on the upper ball joint.

I replaced the lower ball joints back in the summer. They are Moogs, slighty more money then Stock.

I didnt notice a difference, but the Moogs are for life.

I put all 4 in a few weeks ago, the Moogs come with complete hardware kits also- the snap rings, pins, nuts and pinch bolts.

Moog all the way! One thing I see every day is shot front end parts (must have something to do with the job?). I couldn't tell you how many tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.. I've replaced, but I can tell you that Moog makes the best products out there. The shop I work for is a NAPA auto care center, so the majority of the parts I use are TRW, but for my personal vehicle, Moog is the only thing I recomend.

Just a testament to Moog: The '94-'01 Dodge 4x4's and Jeep Chrokees, Grands and'79-up Wrangler's all run a poorly designed track bar that fails frequently. The ONLY replacement track bar that lasts is the Moog. Stock, TRW, etc.. have only shown to have half the life of a Moog.

Moog makes a very high quality product. I have used them before and I wouldn't hesitate buying them again.

As good as the moog joints are... I got a chance to see cut away of both Moog and the Napa "fleet" brand.

The Napa fleet brand look much stronger... I haven't tried them yet (I'm not chaning my ball joints until another 20k or so (6 months)..

It is a least worth looking into..
